I'm concerned that many affected "Public Servants" will have their pensions devalued from April next year if the coalition government's steal goes ahead as planned. The historic and accepted inflation index for pensions has always been linked to the Retail Prices Index but not if Steve Webb and George Osborne get their ripoff ways. They, want to link our pensions to the lower Consumer Prices Index, this will devalue your pension by the law of compound interest try the first link to find out by how much. As always each affected group are fighting their own corner as special cases instead of all uniting against this injustice. I urge all affected to write and protest to their local MP and to Steve Webb.

They deserve to succeed.

NHS workers don’t accept wages lower than the private sector and pay into their pension scheme to be abused like this.

Yeah, right (the poor dears). frown

Not everyone in the Public Sector is a banker you know. In fact most of us will need to carry on (working) until we drop just to pay for it all. That is, all those brilliant Public Services (than many of us never get to use). And that includes your pension (presumably).

And please tell me this ... does anyone employed by the NHS - the largest employer in the UK, by far - receive just the Minimum Wage (that's £ 5.93 an hour)?

You should have secured a nice little cushy job in the Public Sector then , Mate.

However, I do sincerely appreciate you keeping working to pay for my Gold Plated pension.
