We have the Vickers Medical Model 165 Resuscitaire, the product support on these ceased 31/01/2003.

I'm hunting for any information on the following:

(Suction Control Valve)
Switch - Toggle Part No 60065

We have contacted Hill Rom who have previously been servicing this product but yet no joy.

Does anybody have any information?

I was told by an ex vickers person that when Hill Rom took over Vickers they were somewhat amazed to find a large parts store full of extremely old parts to maintain all that wonderful (but very old) british product out there.

This ran contrary to modern engineering practise whereby support is discontinued to push more product on the customer.

The store's contents were heaved into a series of skips & chucked into land fill.

Unless you want to buy a shovel & start digging you had better just give it up.

We contacted Clippard directly who put us in touch with a company called Truline Engineering Services our local supplier. The valve is identical to the one supplied by Hill rom but they do not have them listed as oxygen safe so we had to strip and clean them ourselves.

We have just replaced our Vickers with the new Hill Rom units. Of the old Vickers units we are keeping 2 and scrapping the other 3. Some spares would be available i'm sure if you let me know what you need.
