Hi everyone,

I am interested to know if anyone else in the UK is having problems with the Enterprise range of bed frames. The main issues for us are 9000 frames moving without button press! scary I know. 5000s handsets failing on a regular basis? Please let me know if you have had the same problem?

Thanks Geraint

Hi,

I've not dealt with them for a while now but we have a number of 5000s which we have had similar problems with handsets. Many problems were caused by the handset being dropped, this caused a connection inside to come loose (as they were sealed units the only solution was to buy a new handset) The old handsets had a simple click in hook to hang them on the bed rails, these came out easily causing fall damage. The newer handsets have a screw securing them which imoproved things a little but we still see faults. (as with all handsets)

Also due to the number of controls on the handsets they seem to be easily damaged.

Thanks Rob. The handsets we have had failing are mostly from a batch of 5000s we took delivery of early this year and failed from day one with no signs of being dropped.

Thanks

Hey Guys, I have been having repeated issues with the above mentioned handsets. I have been in talks with Arjo regarding this matter and their response was " yes, we do have an issue with this part". It seems to be that they have changed from copper wire to aluminium wire and this is breaking inside the cable gland as it enters the handset. They have assured me that they are trying to rectify it, but so far no joy. I don't think it has helped them much by having them manufactured in china, as it seems that the cost to Arjo (not the customer) has gone down, but so has the qaulity. If you let them know how dissapointed you are with them, they may give you 10 FOC. They did it for me,it's worth a go.
All the best

we have had Enterprise 5000's for 4 years, about 500 of them.
The handset problem has been ongoing since we took delivery.
We change on average 40 every 6 weeks.
All replacements are supplied FOC by Arjo/huntleigh.

If your talking about the enterprise 5000x (dark blue handset). If all the leds flash it is the control box .I've had three this week.
some times it can auto lock if the battery is low and the frame is not plugged in .

just learned how to reset the 5000x .
remove all power from the control box (mains and battery) push the buttons on the remote to discharge the control box wait 20 seconds (just in case).reconnect the power and go to the main remote and push the up and down buttons until the bed stops bleeping (about 30 seconds )then the bed should operate.

We have had a number of failures of the power unit S9094 on the Enterprise 5000. The bed will operate on mains power, but it ceases to charge the batteries and will consequently not operate on battery power or show a charge light on the handset.
When opened up the PS shows signs of burnt out components. Huntleigh have replaced any faulty PS's free of charge but, as far as we know, there is not a long term solution. Does anyone else have the same issue, or is it perculiar to us?
