I have a problem when trying to calibrate the pressure transducer on a 572 infusion pump. The process involves having to remove the internals from the case so you can get to the adjustable pots. Because you do this you need to use an extender ribbon cable. I am constantly getting the 'Fix me 3' error when using this cable. I have tried different pumps and even a brand new cable but the problem is still there.
Does anyone have any ideas/experience of this?

Thanks
Simon

Fix Me 3 indicates a loss of RAM contents. No doubt you are removing the (main) battery to carry out the cal. process.

Do you have the manual? think

I remove the main battery when I connect the loom then I reconnect the battery. Usually you initially get the Fix me 3 and then you turn off/turn on with the battery connected and the Fix me 3 doesn't reappear. Recently the Fix me 3 remains!
I have successfully calibrated lots of pumps using this method in the past but now I have this problem.

Yes. I've been trying to remember how the 572 retains its settings ... there must be an on-board (coin-cell) battery, NVRAM or some such thing. But I can't remember off-hand. frown

It says that problem persists to follow fix me 1 actions.

Common problems we have had are the door cable needing replaced. Other thing to check is the logic chip is well seated.

I use a small square of 5mm thick plywood which I sit the internals on to bring it the same height as the outer case and plug directly in without an extender cable.

There's something in the manual about changing the Test Connector Cover screw with one that's a bit shorter in length ... could this be the solution here, I wonder? think

If you don't inspect ... don't expect.
