Does anyone know where you can purchase a replacement cell for the Criterion Oxicheck analyser that Philips Respironics supply. Replacement cell cost has gone from £72 to £167!

Hello Adrian

Try viamed.co.uk for oxygen sensors, they have a cross reference table for respironics products.

Hi Sean, not on their website and have sent them a picture of the cell needed but they do not do it. They are going to look into sourcing them but in the mean time if i can get them elsewhere I will. See attached file for what I'm looking for.

Hi Adrian, do you have any further details on the cell (original part number, cell manufacturer's name etc)?

Hi Paul
Sorry for the delay. The reference number is:

It might be worth considering a new O2 meter ("spot-checker", whatever) that uses run-of-the-mill sensors, Adrian. think

1) ProAct
2) Viamed

See also this .pdf for EnviteC sensor numbers (the best IMHO). smile

BTW (and just to muddy the waters a little further), I believe that the handy little OxiCheck was originally made by Caradyne.

Hi Geoff

I have thought about that and was hoping to find something similar. It sits nicely in a T-piece on the WhisperFlow 2 so something that does not have to be remotely mounted would be better. They used to use the Criterion 60 with pressure and oxygen monitoring bolted to the WhisperFlow but decided to change to these.

Something like this, maybe?

Meanwhile, a glance at a few websites appears to indicate that Caradyne stuff is generally available in the States. So I'm wondering if one of the UK suppliers can help out (by shipping some across). The trouble is, of course (and as you have already found), that the dollar price simply becomes the price in pounds (or worse).

As I say, "if it were me" I guess I would go for an "engineering" (read as "cheaper") solution; and also one that is sustainable in the medium to long term. Why do I say that? Because I despise the gougers of the world. LOL.

But (as already mentioned) I reckon that EnviteC is the top quality option. Made in Germany, I believe. smile

Meanwhile, here is some information from Teledyne (with yet another cross-reference .pdf). And (lastly) here is another source a little closer to home.

But not the sensor you are looking for, unfortunately. I wonder who the OEM is for that one? think
