Hello,
For a CO2 insufflator brand Stryker, exist any recommandations regarding gas hose who make connection between CO2 cylinder and equipment ? Thank you in advance.

Try Arthrocare. You wil need to explain what it is and for. Or Therapy Equipment may do it as a special.

I was going to suggest either Therapy Equipment or a local supplier of hydraulic hoses, they usually custom make them from standard parts so are used to unusual requests. But make sure it is clean and grease free before you fit it as it will have been made in a normal workshop not used to medical standards. Robert

I suspect that the real problem might be sourcing the yoke at the cylinder end. I'm assuming here that the complete hose assembly may be missing. Unfortunately, these guys are saying that they don't ship outside of North America. So, although that site may be good for identifying fittings and components ... it looks like we shall need good friends in the States!

Sirs,
Thank you very much for your support and help. Regarding my problem please excuse me. I don`t offered enough details. A client want to make him a new hose for his Stryker insuflator. A new hose, Stryker brand, cost over 500 euro[530 euro is his actual price in Romania]. Regarding hose, at what pressure it must resist ? Becasue hose is directly connected to CO2 cylinder. Inside of cylinder is almost 200bars. But effective pressure of work for this kind of devices - insuflators, how much is ? 50bars ? 80bars ? Thank you again for your time.

Hydraulic hoses work at much higher pressures than that so a braided hose like a hydraulic one will suffice. Robert

You need to check the spec of the device. Most work on 4 bar from a pressure regulator connected to the cylinder. Some then have internal regulators to reduce the pressure down within the device itself so the pressure at the patient end is far less than what goes in the back of the device. Cant imagine a direct cylinder to device set up.

I'm pretty sure some were (are?) like that, Karl. See the yoke at the link I gave on 19-Apr-13. But, there again, it's been a good few years since I touched an insufflator in anger, as it were.

There are some that have a regulator inside the insuflator box rather than reducing it to "normal pressures at the yoke. Why? I do not know as it leads to problems like this. Robert
