A Rigel 233 - from the days when you had to understand how to do electrical safety testing and not just press the start button. Oh happy days. Robert
I did interview someone who said they had done electrical safety testing and fully understood it - and all they actually knew was where to hook up the leads and to press the correct button. Oh sad days.
My spelling is not bad. I am typing this on a Medigenic keyboard and I blame that for all my typos.

Never mind the Rigel ... what about the AVO 8 and the Meggar (hand-cranked, of course). And - if you were really lucky - the CamSafe as well! Extremely happy days! True aficionados may also appreciate this "blast from the past".

This may be of interest to a few folk. There are a few "interesting" bids* (and bid histories) on there now ( eg, £ 50 for an old S&W EM-2 Plus defib tester). It just goes to show that some of that stuff still has a bit more value than some would have us believe. By the way, I haven't placed any bids myself; but admit that I probably would have a few years ago. PS: here's a bit of advice for whomever it is who's bidding on Lot 80:- see also Lot 9. * The auction ends around midday on Monday 05-Aug-13 if anyone fancies having a go.

Wow! There have been some hefty bids on some of that kit now. It's almost as exciting as watching the "sniping" that (so often) goes on at the closing stages of eBay auctions. Anyway, it's not long now.

I looked at some of the bids earlier this morning and thought there were some real bargains to be had. Obviously not any more by the sound of it. Robert

Well ... it looks like the CamSafe didn't sell. But no ... not many (what I would call) "bargains" as far as I can see. In fact I was amazed to note what the RT-200's went for. And how about the RF-303? Wow! But, as usual, the only real winner is the Auctioneer!

I notice that our friendly Malmesbury-based auctioneers have set up another timed on-line auction. Ending on 19-Aug-13, it includes some nice looking kit (mobile x-ray units, diagnostic ultrasound, theatre stacks and such). But no test kit. I won't give the link here (unless Huw insists), as they no longer sponsor this forum (as far as I am aware); but if anyone wants it, I should be happy to include it in a PM.

My Timeter RT-200 is still sitting rather forlornly in the corner, in case anyone is interested. I would be happy to donate this one to a worthy cause (anything rather than chuck it out). But the Bio-Tek 601-Pro, IDA's, defib testers (they never claimed to be "analyzers"), and Kawh 952-D SMD soldering station and such like are all long gone. I've really gotten down to the dregs now.

the metron QA-90 currently have been recall by manufacturer, due some issue on patient leads at the same time this model are all ready in obsulate for fluke biomedical.
Take a look at this .pdf; not the latest information, but interesting all the same (if only as an illustration of what happens when good little companies get swallowed up by one of the Big Boys).
