Hi All,
My friend out in Malawi is have problems with 2 Hanaulux Theatre Lamps. Model Numbers 3400 and 3500.
Can anyone help with a manual/schematic?
I'm not sure if these lamps are installed or partly installed but there appear to be wires that are floating about!!!!.
Thanks.
smilewink

Kind Regards

Keith

Even I remember those, Keith. whistle

Late 1980's would be my guess (and therefore they must have been installed before now)!

Being re-installed, perhaps? Donated kit, maybe?

Either way (although I don't have a *manual), they shouldn't be too "demanding", I would have thought.

Any idea of the actual problem? Tell your friend that pictures could help (us). smile

Hi Geoff,
I did mean "having" problems but my excuse is age related brain fade. I'm sure you are right about the age as I worked for Siemens at the time and I saw many of them. They are donated and have the usual disease, having had a schematicectomy before being sent out. I will ask my friend who is a non engineer to take some photos and provide us with some more detail.
Thanks again.

Kind Regards

Keith

Yes ... I recognise the symptoms of that particular disease only too well. Irresponsible, in my opinion. How much effort would it have taken for someone "technical" to scribble down a few notes before sending it out there? Now everyone will be "disappointed" once again. frown

Meanwhile, I'm wondering what configuration we're talking about ... a straight-forward transformer and then the lamp head(s)?

No chance of them setting up a battery-backed system, I suppose? think

I won't pre-judge the situation (?) but I'm betting that the "problem" will be on the supply side. That is:- how to connect to the mains.

OK ... (yet again) we await further information. smile
