The service password for every Avea is different and derived from, if memeory serves me correct, a combination of it's serial number and a hardware component's ID.

Certainly for Europe these codes were generated in their German service centre and had to be requested via your local agent upon completion of training

If you're lucky Ariel, you'll find it scribbled on a bit of sticky tape "hidden" somewhere within the machine ... failing that, you could try UDS.

Good Luck! smile

Sounds like a useful guy, your local distributor. frown

Try an email to MIUS (ask for Trevor).

You might want to send Trevor a link to this thread.

He is a member of the forum; but we don't hear from him much these days - probably far too busy solving ultrasound problems, I expect (and hope). whistle

Hi, Anyone had luck getting the passcode for the Avea. Tried calling Customer service of Vyaire(viasys) and sadly they no longer support the Aveas and cant provide passcodes.
Anyone got a passcode for their existing Avea units, perhaps uuse it as a guide/ to decipher the sequence of the passcodes using the unit and UIM serial numbers? any help is great appreciated.

Thanks and have a great day.

I believe that after Vyaire filed for chapter II in the USA, here in Europe their enterprise was taken over by Zoll Europe.

They may be willing to help but dont hold your breath...
