Hello all, I have a monitor Datex ohmeda S/5 light, but something he broke Noninvasive blood pressure. Pump it stopped inflating cuff. Monitor only displays "cuff loose" and does not pump the cuff. Replace hose adult with another brand new and still same problem. Does anyone know what causes this and what can I do to fix it.
Kind Regards

Hello There Nikko, in many times the problem of loss pression of insufflation may be occasioned for leaks in the cuff or in the hose, if the problem persist you must check the value of pression insuflation selected in the monitor software, the last option will be check the insuflation pump within your monitor, of course you will need the service manual.

I hope can be useful my opinion.

Greetings.

Hi Nikoooo,
The fault is uaually the plastic chamber, with the pneumatic valves attached, inside the monitor leaking. It is formed in two halves bonded together and leaks along this join. You can sometimes find it with a little leak detector and use epoxy to seal it. If not you will need a replacement chamber.
