someone to kindly assist me on this, I have the stryker 40L insuffulator the old model(last calibrated 4yrs ago). I have done all the calibration as per the service manual and completed it with no errors and yet the output pressure is still low and the CO2 tank sensor still indicates that it is empty while the tank gauge indicates otherwise.

Welcome to the forum, Ernest. smile

No chance of it being just an empty cylinder, coupled with a faulty contents gauge, I suppose?

Otherwise, there must be a pressure regulator in there somewhere. Can it be (has it been) adjusted?

Hannis, I have checked the cylinder gauge and even replaced it and its OK. On the pressure regulator in the unit I have done the calibration and it indicates its OK. Maybe am doing it wrongly?

Who knows! smile

When you say you have done the calibration ... what exactly did that involve (I don't have the manual here)?

And ... was it doing OK before you touched it?

One requires a CO2 manometer and a flowmeter to carry out calibration and also a syringe. One calibrates the pressure and flowmeter sensors, the pressure gauges as well. It has about 13 steps to carry out. I can send you the service manual if you can give me a platform to send it to you. And the unit was not working correctly, it was reported with low output pressure even when set to produce 15mmHg and the issue of the tank gauge sensor as well

When you have it set to 15mmHg what output pressure are you getting on your manometer? FYI I'm a Stryker service engineer

Hey NickM,thank you for responding i am aware you are a stryker tech I have been following your threads regarding the SDC pro2 as i was having a similar issue with the touch screen. I am using a fluke digital manometer and the readings fluctuate between 14.00 and 15.00 there is no steady reading from it.

You need to check the HPV (High Pressure Valve) where the gas comes into the unit.

The pressure needs to be above 4 bar, in my test kit I have a gauge that fits between the Co2 hose and the insufflator, hopefully you have this. If its not set on 4 bar adjust the screw.
