I've just had an interesting 'phone conversation about the possibility of six weeks work at the hospital at Stanley.

Would anyone on here be interested? It seems that the Agent (who is a sponsor of this forum) has been let down, and now urgently needs someone to commit to stepping into the breach, as it were.

The hourly rates sound right, but you would need to pay for accommodation (readily available), apparently. Flights* in and out (down and up?) would be paid for by the client.

Could be a nice opportunity for an adventurous soul keen to experience the winter down there. smile

* Far too long for me these days, I'm afraid.

I'll send a PM in a jiffy, Rob. smile

It could suit one of your blokes, I would have thought. A bit of a "test", perhaps? think

Brize Norton to Mount Pleasant; eighteen hours including a refueling stop at Ascension Island. Very expensive too (of course) if you're shelling out yourself.

Don't think I could hack that these days. frown

Welcome to the forum, Florian. smile

I did not follow up on this one once I had passed the message (see the OP).

But what ever happened, it happened sometime last year (August-September, if I remember correctly).

Meanwhile, in my experience dialysis techs (engineers, whatever) have usually been in short supply ... so, if you play your cards right, the world should be your oyster (as "they" say).

Good Luck. smile
