Has anyone ever heard of a bite guard that instead of being a full circle (ring doughnut) shape is a partial circle (like a "c") shape?
So that the probe can be inserted manually with the fingers as a guide and then protected with a guard, without the need to extract the probe to fit the guard.

Can you not just cut a bit out of a full circle one?
It took us a long time to get the doctors to use the bite guard at one place I worked but the managers soon stepped in when they kept on getting £40k bills for new TOE probes.
I once saw what looked like teeth marks on a scope for looking up the other end. Had they just used the wrong scope as the correct one was not to hand or just pushed it too far in?

Jim, I seem to remember 72 Triumph Spitfire had the most amazing set up. With it raised of the ground the black circles not only went in at a significant camber but also toed in a fair bit to terrible pressure on the bottom trunion joints. Maybe thats why so manny ended up in hedges, or was that pilot error???

I wonder what web sites I will get if I search on "Toe bite guard". Some very specialist ones I expect.
And for our American cousins who do not use diphthongs TOE is the correct spelling of TEE.
