Hi

Just wondering if someone could advise me.
I work for an NHS Trust in the North West of England. Our medical equipment maintenance has been outsourced to a private company.
I'm looking to see if there are any asset registers that can be recommended. The private company have their own register but it doesn't give us much options. I'm looking for a register that allows us to register the items permanently on locations and that allows us to use the register to book items in and out on loan.
I would like to be able to use the system to create asset labels with barcode or QR code.

Hope someone can give me some advice.

e-Quip seems ideal for NHS users. It looks very nice (fresh, modern) and has all the right features for modern asset management.

But it is interesting to note that you can never actually own the software; which (again) may be OK for NHS users.

Licensing software is a common enough "business model" - but if the e-Quip licence is truly a "right to use", what happens if that no longer becomes an option (for whatever reason) in five, ten or fifteen years time? In short, what becomes of "your" data?
