Hi Lee,

You are right lee..I think use the same technology in perfuser fm.In the drive head there are two Opto-isolator.

One opto-isolator use to detect the tip of the syringe and the other function as to detect the finger head drive.

I wish if someone had the same problem on B Braun perfusor fm(SYRINGE ALARM)after a few seconds that is switched ON.

thanks lee

Just a random thought ... are you using the pump only on mains power? How does it get on when starting on battery power (mains off) only?

And what's the condition of the battery? Does the pump work OK on mains when the battery has been removed?

BTW, I'm assuming this pump has a battery! LOL. smile

OK ... you've said that the pump worked well when you changed the plunger assembly - but I'm wondering if the earlier one was a bit stiff (too stiff for the battery to overcome).

In other words, does the plunger assembly move freely? think

Hi Geoff,

Did you repaired a Braun perfusor fm before?

Battery is in perfect condition, and the plunger assembly is freely when moved with my hands(Manually).

The strange thing is when perform a occlusion calibration the plunger assembly(Drive unit)moves normally and after saved the calibration, switched off completely the syringe pump then switched On again and the same error appears SYRINGE ALRAM error.

I suspected that on the plunger assembly there is a transmitter and receiver sensor with a flag that not reading, it could be.I am asking if someone resolved this problem before.

No; I've don't think I've ever seen one of these pumps. shrug

But I have noticed there's a section in the manual headed "Syringe Recognition". At first glance it looks a bit overly complex to me.

Good Luck (in being the first to resolve the problem)! smile
