HTM 06-01 (2017) looks like a useful document.

Perhaps it needs to be reviewed early on in "foundation" biomed training courses ... if only to "skim through" some of the (many) abbreviations involved.
For example:-
ERIC ... Estates Return Information Collection (?)
IMD ... insulation-monitoring device (previously known as a LIM)
Medical IT (isolated
terra) ... meaning an isolated power supply*
Not to mention TN, TN-S and all the rest. See

Perhaps then we could all (biomeds, and "Estates") be "singing from the same hymn-sheet"; at least when it comes to electrical terminology.
By the way, it has a good section on maintenance ("Operational maintenance strategy"), too.
