The thing about Morse is that it allows you to tap out messages on the radiator pipes.
Actually, it's better than that; with Morse you can "speak" to almost the whole population of the world (as long as they use the English alphabet together with accented letters, pro signs and punctuation marks). Russians and Japanese are a bit of a problem though.
Hi Geoff, Hope you are well. Still like to keep my hand in on the old "Morris code" but not as quick as I used to be. Just thought I'd put a link to a place you may want to visit: https://www.internalfire.com/ Tons of old school steam engines, a Proteus powered generator, some marine communications displays (I recently swapped some of my Marconi kit with them) and even an old strowger system telephone exchange! The guys that run it are great and it really is a great day out especially if they have some kit "in steam," I was privileged to have access to their store of future projects.
