Hi!
I am currently working on a project with the CERN Institute as part of a university course. The aim is to identify new fields of application for a coating technology that has some special features. Since my knowledge of medical technology is rather limited, I would be interested to know whether, from your point of view, the following advantages of the technology could be useful in the manufacture of certain products in the medical device sector.

The concrete advantages of the coating process are:
• Coating of complex and smallest 3D structures possible
• More durable end products due to increased density, surface quality and hardness after coating
• Application of very thin (as well as very thick) layers possible

I would be very grateful if you could share your opinions and views with me.

Can the coating technology may be utilised to introduce antimicrobial silver nanoparticles to medical devices?
Silver nanoparticles have been shown to have effective antibacterial activity against a range of disease-causing bacteria.

A safe and resilient hydrophobic coating too would be good - no more dried on residue to worry about, especially combined with the above silver addition.
