With the outbreak of Coronavirus, what type of thermometer would be recommended within healthcare settings? Has anyone got any experience of a good non contact infra red thermometer? We have only got experience with tympanic thermometers such as Braun which use disposable probe covers.

Non-contact infrared thermometers are available from Amazon, I do have direct contacts in China if you require anything not available on Amazon

People will still be handling the device so I dont see an advantage. Staff are just as much a risk as patients.
Use them and keep them clean.. ðŸ‘

We tried infra red thermometers for use in a mental health setting and they're so hit and miss we never went ahead with them.
