Hi everyone.
I am looking to resolve an age old issue whereby people do not unplug leads connected to network points before moving devices. Spending time and costs on repairing/replacing leads and sockets is not productive so how to break the cycle? Have been looking at these but was wondering if anyone else had solved it? https://www.rosenberger.com/product/magnetic-rj45/ If anyone has any suggestions or feedback i would welcome it with open arms.
Many thanks.

I've not seen that before, but it does look like an excellent solution.

Nice kit ... from a quality manufacturer.

You would need to do a cost-benefit analysis, though, as I imagine they may cost more than the value of some of the medical kit you're hoping to protect!

Maybe buy a few and see how they (you) get on.

Meanwhile, what about all the other (many and various) connections they "forget" to unplug when moving (snatching, dragging) the kit?

If you don't inspect ... don't expect.

not exactly cheap, but a great idea.

But is any connector "squaddie proof" ???

If you want to go really low tech, you could always snap the plastic tab off the connector so that it never locks in to the socket... cable would just pull straight out. Low effort solution for problem users.

A man may fight for many things. His country, his friends, his principles, the glistening tear on the cheek of a golden child. But personally, I'd mud-wrestle my own mother for a ton of cash, an amusing clock and a sack of French porn.

Yep, that's what we do (well, file it down so it still grips but releases with a lot less force). Also use Port Savers
