Hi,
Could I ask which databases you all use?
Any standout ones or inexpensive systems out there?

Many thanks

Hi Andy
Its well worth you considering Medusa by Softpro. Aside from being a very versatile database it also comes with a very friendly support structure from the suppliers which include former EBME staff. Constantly adapting and evolving to accommodate bolt on systems such as RFID and test equipment software. A very good user community where Softpro listen to customer feedback and act upon it. Message me if you want any further details.

Hi Andy,
Also have a look at e-Quip
Great database at a reasonable cost.

Thank you.
I have used E-Quip previously, it's a great system, just trying to understand/work though web based hosting options.
Also have a meeting with the suppliers of Medusa today.

Thanks again

Hi Andy,

I have been using e-Quip for the past 2 years and I am really frustrated that it is not web-based, for the same price you can get Aims 3 from ECRI, I am having a demonstration later this week and from the information that I have been given most of Ireland are already using ECRI.
ECRI also offers an RFID solution, therefore the 2 can be integrated quite easily.

Hi Neil.
The lack of a web based option with E-Quip is an issue for me. They can provide this but it does bump up the cost.
Medusa on the other hand is fully web based and is looking very promising for our requirements. The cost per year is also competitive.

Andy
