Hi all,

I'm hoping for some help cracking a problem with the Olympus UCR insufflator. We have 3 devices which require connection to a CO2 pipeline supply. Unfortunately, Olympus no longer sell the adaptor hose to allow a DISS or NIST hose to be connected from the Pipeline outlet terminal, and they cannot tell me the specification for the Inlet thread on the device (!).

Can anyone out there help with some info on the thread specification for the CO2 inlet on the UCR device?

Secondly, does anyone have a recommendation for a good medical gas hose supplier who could produce a hose once the thread size is established?

Thanks in advance for any help or info.

I should imagine that Meditech should be able to help.

Other suppliers may also be avaialble.

The clear images shown here (eBay) may be useful.

I would assume the screw thread follows the JIS Standard, very similar to ISO but with different pitches.

Why not ask Meditech if they could reverese engineer a hose for you.

Malcolm.

Thanks both for the replies.
For the benefit of any future seekers of this info - the CO2 inlet thread of the Olympus UCR insufflator is 1/4" BSP.

Hello, are you still seeking a solution? Could you kindly share the specifications of the thread size? Might be able to help you.
