Has anyone else had any issues with estates complaining about splitters?

Our estates are telling end users they cannot use splitters, despite no issues for many years.

"Off the wall Y-connectors"?

Until we hear more from the Estates Department, I'm guessing something along the lines of:-

Localised leakage due to a faulty Schrader valve. Possibly due to age (worn out), dirt, a damaged (or partially inserted) probe ... or "even" lack of attention by nursing staff ("failing to notice" etc.).

And, to be honest, "plastic" Schrader valves does not sound like a good idea to me. Unless, of course, they are designed to fail ... with a life limited to just so many probe insertions (or whatever). Maybe just a plastic collar.

In any case, I would suggest that simply identifying then removing the offending item would be the most prudent course of action.

By the way, periodic inspections (checking) are a good way of catching (minimising) such issues early on.

If you don't inspect ... don't expect.

I think you need to get them to clarify the issue! We can speculate on why it 'could' be an issue, I suppose a splitter would create double the demand on one port but I've not heard of this before, only time demand was an issue was 2019 and that was as we all remember for other reasons. Other factors could be simply that they don't have control over it, fire etc who knows
