I'd agree with that!

How about a new forum for sales/wanted/exchanges of medical equipment, parts & test gear?

Excellent idea - but if we are talking medical equipment (i.e. patient connected stuff) isn't there a liability problem ? Our Trust won't sell medical equipment to other hospitals or practitioners because they have interpreted the rules as meaning that this makes them a "supplier" and as such makes them liable. Most of our stuff goes to the charity who send equipment abroad.
I don't think this would be a major problem with test equipment or spare parts etc - unless you're ISO9000 registered !

Today is the day you worried about yesterday - and all is well !

True, but surely if both parties agree to some simple disclaimer there should be no problem. If the equip was from a reputable manufacturer originally and has a 'full service history' , the risks are no more than for our own stuff anyway. After all, we're all working for the same NHS with the same interests at heart! I certainly wouldn't favour the transfer of old or unreliable stuff, only younger unwanted equipment/accessories.

Ok, I'll try to get the new forum online this weekend.
Should I start a forum for new forum ideas???

I'd keep it as one and see how popular it gets, perhaps split it up later?
