As a guy who was looking for opportunities in Bio engineering (and who aint?) I have been looking around at the vacancies which abound in this field. Most are too far away or just don't pay enough!!
So it was with some trepidation that I moved away from field service and joined a Hospital EBME again.
Now the job didn't scare me one little bit as I am a great beleiver in Generic repairs and the knowledge which I have gained over the years...
But as usual us biomeds are a band of gossips..and rumours abound about sites and people..
It is with this in mind that I would like to blow the trumpet of the "Hope Hospital" (Draeger) EBME Department.
I like many others had heard endless bad press about these guy's and what it was like.. Well I am as fussy as anyone and I must admit that all that bad press is just plain malicious. They are a hard working bunch of lads as one could ever meet, and Draeger as an employer has much more opportunities than anyone I have worked for before!!
So all you knockers of the PFI line I think you owe these lads a very big appology.. besides they are not under the agenda for change banner as they are outside the NHS.
So anyone interested in working for an employer where hard work is rewarded then I think you could do far far worse than these guys!!
And NO I am not a Manager ..LOL... I am just a bod doing my job in a professional manner as always..
