The way that some unions have acted over the past 10 years is reason enough NOT to join or leave if already a member.
The union is supposed to act FOR and on behalf of the membership. Therefore when the membership vote to reject a pay deal why do union officials go and accept it?????
I think we all know that AFC will mean that a majority of NHS workers will lose money either directly i.e. wage cuts or indirectly due to longer working hours or loss of overtime etc yet the unions came out and supported AFC.
I think that people who are still part of a union should be looking as to whether or not that union and its management are still looking after its members interests.
