In order to claim the £10 registration fee back from the Tax people, you have to either prove that it is mandatory for your job or that the VRCT has registered with the Tax Office that they are a recognised organisation that imposes mandatory registration fees.
If either of these criteria are met then you can claim the £10 back. However, the NHS does not recognise that VRCT registration is a prerequisite for the job, otherwise it would be paying you £38 per year under the new AfC agreement. If it did, you wouldn't be able to claim the £10 from the tax office as your annual registration fees are paid by your employer.
Therefore, in summary, there are no circumstances that automatically allow you to claim the money back from the tax office.
So Tudor is very lucky at the moment and as KM states, it's best to keep quiet!!!!
