To be frank, Andy (apart from the digital bit added at the end), the Falfield
prospectus appears more or less identical to the famous Arborfield course that I took 34 years ago. Perhaps x-ray kit hasn't changed that much! And ... all that in a week (or is it a fortnight)? That's a lot of stuff to assimilate if a guy is new to it all. You may be better off plodding though a text book at your own pace (at least at first).
But (based on my own experience) my earlier advice stands ... if you have a reasonably sound foundation in electronic and electrical engineering, have a healthy regard for the safety issues surround high voltages and radiation (and who doesn't?), plus an
enquiring mind (the "perpetual student" mindset), then you should do OK (at anything)! In other words, when encountering a new technology that interests you ... immerse yourself in it until you're satisfied that you gained sufficient understanding (and now, of course, we have the web)! It's always worked for me.
