Its worth bearing in mind that i myself and i suspect many of you have witnessed equipment in lethal condition happily pass EST with flying colours, one item had actually gave a nurse an electric shock but still sailed through EST. What these occurrences boil down to is good old physical inspection, can't beat it. With this in mind, i don't see the point in comparing previous EST's. I do however agree that EST is still necessary as it does test the "unseen" i.e. the internal electrical safety of the device. I think a simple pass / fail is all that need be recorded on the service report. Personally i staple the printout to the sheet where as others discard it which seems a waste.
