My experience is: saving comes on the surface (upfront saving deceived under a contract cover) and there are many more things unaccounted for, in the contract, which ultimately the hospital pays for it, like replacement parts, etc.
Only the great man will choose outsourcing. But as with each management, the cycle keeps repeating, just to show that there is indeed a change to the way they do things and cost cutting.
