Yes, but Sean who would be your backers? Had the VRCT been originally set-up by a quite significant (in number) group of individuals and hadn't had the support of the IET or IPEM I most certainly couldn't join.
Chris, did you have a choice or were you one of the many who were TOLD to join OR ELSE? There are a huge number of biomeds out there who were given no choice but to sign up. I've spoken to several people on various training courses who didn't realise that membeship was optional. To them the word Voluntary didn't mean anything.
I reckon if you polled all 3000 or so members asking if they wanted in ot out (might have to hold a meeting to check that I am asking the right question), explaining that it is 100% voluntary, a very large proportion would say out!
