Doesn't DB9801 (section 7.2) state that we have to keep records for 11 years in line with HC(89)20. Although I have looked in said HC and it is very vague, doesn't specify what records to keep for 11 years so I am assuming it is all records. Have also been told by a medical records manager that any entry involving children or babies must be kept for 25 years. I take this as meaning any inventory, repair, incident etc involving equipment used on a child should be kept for 25 years.
If anyone can clarify this so that it is more straight forward I would be very grateful.
