vDosPlus has not been updated in six years ... although, to be honest, it probably doesn't really need upgrading.
On the other hand, Jos Schaars has recently issued an updated version of
vDos.
Although I don't use DOS-based programs so much myself these days (mainly as my old machines have faded away over the years), I still code in "legacy" programs (dBase 5.0, FoxPro 2.6
etc.) to update old stuff (and clear long-hidden bugs) from time to time ... for this, I use (and recommend) vDos to get into the DOS program from Windows (XP/6/7/10 ... 32/64-bit). Of course, those old programs run very fast on modern machines (and always quicker than their Windows versions, where such exist).
