we have been using draeger equipment for last 18 years. at the moment 1 primus, 1 cato, 4 evita 4, 4 savina, and 2 dura ventilators. Dreger has a very strong service team and ve did not have any troubles
except o2 sensors on primus but that had been resolved with no problems.
best regards
Milan

We use Servo-i and G5 vents, similar to Galileo. Both are very good as regards reliability and quality of service.

Two things to consider: The Servo-i uses a large expiratory block which needs either filter protection or autoclave after each use. Replacements are about £800. The Hamilton vent uses a simple diaphragm and housing which costs about £80.
The Servo-i measures patient flows and pressures down the circuit. The Hamilton measures from a disposable patient sensor, which means it is more accurate but adds £15 to the cost of each circuit.
There are different add-ons too. With the Servo-i you can get NAVA which triggers breathing very accurately with the patient- at a cost. With the G5 you can get Heliox which helps O2 delivery in obstructed lungs - at a cost.

Enjoy your trials!
