As an historical note:- Baxter has always been what we used to call a "catalogue company"; in that, rather than manufacture equipment themselves, they used to cast around to see what OEMs (sometimes small, innovative, OEMs) could offer and then badge them as "Baxter" (sometimes "Travenol") and bring to market using the financial and marketing
clout that the Baxter organisation could undoubtedly bring to bear. This generally resulted in a "win" for all concerned, as they could often pick the "best of the bunch"!
Examples (from memory) are the 6100 (Sanyo)*, 6201 (Sharp) ... Colleague (Danby), Spectrum (Sigma)
et al. In fact, with all Baxter products, we used to enjoy playing "spot the OEM". All is revealed, of course, once you open up the kit for close inspection (
aka the "hands-on imperative").
Baxter
history.
* Those recollections probably need to be confirmed (and maybe others can add a few more ... I believe that Terumo may also have been used, for example).
