Bobbyp,
your naivety is very refreshing. What a Trust charges must be down to a local management decision as to what is reasonable coupled to local pressures on parking in the area of the hospital. So its not likely to be the same everywhere is it. We are currently expected to pay a fee of £30 annually if full-time staff regardless of salary but this is likely to be reviewed upwards eventually. For all those who do not pay at present unless they live on a Scottish island it can't be long before they are asked to pay something. I did a Falfield course with two Londoners and was surprised when they both said they could not live without their cars. Public transport being so good in London. So if Londoners cannot be convinced to get rid of their cars there is not much hope for the rest of the country is there. Parking charges are here to stay so better get used to them.
