Hello all ,
this is my first visit as a member to this site. I am an amicus rep at my trust and for my sins I am also on the AfC project group .

You are all if I may say making fundamental errors in equating MTO grades to AfC bandings.

Everyone will be matched via agreed job descriptions the postholder should be fully included in the writing of the JD and should not have a JD handed to him/her.

The JD should accurately reflect the duties of the postholder over the last twelve months, therefore if the duties carried out are those of a specialist nature, then the matching panels should score them accordingly.

If you do not agree with your job description DO NOT SIGN IT!! you can present your own job description to a matching panel .you will of course need to present anecdotal evidence of the duties you have undertaken.

Finally it should be noted that it is not necessary to have HND/Degree equivalent experience is relavent

Regards
John
