Rigel Medical showcases advanced new Performance Analysers
Rigel Medical is one of the world's leading suppliers of advanced medical device testers and will be showcasing its performance and electrical safety
analysers and vital signs simulators at the EBME Conference & Exhibition.
Performance Analysers
The company's range of performance analysers incorporates the latest state-of-the-art electronics and developments in electrosurgical device testing. The Rigel Uni-Therm (formerly the 377) electrosurgical analyser is an easy-to-use, lightweight, accurate and versatile analyser combining three important functional tests: HF leakage, power distribution and return electrode monitoring.
The new Multi-Flo infusion pump analyser complies with all IEC 60601-2-24 requirements and can be used for high and low flow, occlusion, back pressure and bolus measurement and features variants of one, two and four independent channels. Each channel can be tested simultaneously across a range of 100 µL (microlitre) to 1,000 mL per hour with results stored in the instrument's large internal memory.
Also, the compact and portable Uni-Pulse defibrillator analyser features advanced measurement technology to verify the safe operation and functionality of all defibrillators. The battery powered analyser offers both manual and automatic test programs for testing of all mono-phasic, bi-phasic and pulsed waveform defibrillators.
Electrical Safety Analysers
The Rigel Medical 62353 is the first dedicated IEC 62353 hand-held safety analyser offering automatic sequencing, on-board data storage and data entry in a lightweight, easy-to-carry enclosure. Improved battery power provides extended operating life while the instrument's lightweight feature makes it extremely practical and easy-to-transport from site-to-site.
Also available is the Rigel 288, which incorporates easy-to-follow menu driven instructions for simple operation and test control of all IEC 62353 required electrical safety tests in manual, semi-automatic or fully automatic test modes. It can be connected with the battery operated Test 'n Tag Elite printer to provide an easy and convenient way to generate tamper proof barcode pass-fail labels or result print outs.
Vital Signs Simulators
Rigel has developed a range of high performance simulators to undertake vital signs monitoring and performance testing. Leading the way is the impressive UNI-SIM, which is the industry's first all in one vital signs simulator, capable of undertaking six synchronised vital signs parameter tests simultaneously: NIBP, SpO2, ECG, temperature, IBP and respiration functionality tests. The BP-SIM NIBP simulator, SP-SIM Sp02 simulator and Rigel 333 ECG patient simulator complete the range of vital signs simulators.
The Rigel Medical range is the ideal choice biomedical service engineers requiring flexible, easy-to-use and accurate solutions for testing medical devices for both functionality and electrical safety to manufacturer's specification or to a number of internationally accepted standards and guidelines such as: IEC 62353, IEC/EN60601-1, VDE 0751-1, AS/NZS 3551, AAMI, NFPA-99, MDA DB 9801-2006 etc.
