Formerly a dedicated NHS training centre, Eastwood Park was established in 1969 and maintains its commitment to delivering quality training:

Training courses
Eastwood Park offers a range of courses on the maintenance and servicing of biomedical equipment including:
- Biomedical equipment maintenance practice
- Servicing anaesthesia and ventilation equipment
- Safety testing of electrical medical equipment (IEC 60601 + 62353)
- Maintaining Cardiovascular Equipment
- Maintaining Infusion Devices
- Maintaining Theatre Equipment
- Medical equipment networking and cybersecurity
Extensive practical facilities
Extensive facilities allow our learners to put what they’ve been taught into practice within a safe and controlled environment, ensuring a return to the workplace with a new-found confidence in being able to do the job.
Working environments are replicated - these include a fully functioning operating theatre, Medical Gas alarms room and decontamination and sterilization facilities. Eastwood Park also has the only "live" training Medical Gas pipeline outside of hospitals, as well as a 3-storey maintenance lift shaft and well-equipped HV and LV centre. Within these facilities, a variety of faults can be imitated and learners can be taught in a safe and reassuring environment.
Specialist healthcare engineering degrees
Eastwood Park offers a Foundation Degree Hospital Engineering, as well as the option to progress to an additional year to achieve a BSc (Hons) Management of Healthcare Engineering Technologies & Facilities.
