Updates and Progress around Medical Devices and IT Connectivity Issues

The event programme will focus on updating staff knowledge about managing and integrating medical devices, IT connectivity to devices and staff behaviour in using systems.

Both the Clinical Engineering Best Value Groups and annual conference are well established and with the new IT & Connectivity Group being  inaugurated there is a strong affinity between the two professions. At present there is not always an open line of communication within the respective Trust’s Departments.  With the growth in technology most new Medical Equipment is now being fitted with a LAN Port or Wi-Fi  connectivity by default.

The recent Malware event did affect some Medical Equipment i.e. within Radiology with MRI’s and CT scanners being locked out. So this Conference should be an innovative stage to support the increased cooperation between clinical engineering, IT staff and suppliers to     optimise operation of devices and medical systems.

Why Attend?
This one day conference will give new insights into developing technology, helping to understand how medical devices connect to networks and how to protect systems in the light of recent events. This is essential for every clinical engineering and IT department.

The associated exhibition will allow technical staff to have in-depth discussions with a large number of suppliers in a relaxed atmosphere.
