Dear Engineers and Healthcare Workers,
We are pleased to announce that we have now finalised the modules for the next practical session at Kyambogo University. We are looking to start the training on the week beginning 11th June 2012 and as in the previous training session it will last 8 weeks. The attached file contains further information about the modules that we are looking to cover, but below is a shortened version:
2 weeks of medical ultrasound imaging
2 weeks of medical x-ray imaging
1 week of sterilisation and refrigeration
1 week of PIC programming
2 weeks of equipment management, procurement, and disposal methods
As in the previous session, I will personally be in Uganda for the whole of the 8 weeks, teaching, helping with lab sessions, and generally making sure that the course runs smoothly and making the volunteers life a little bit easier. If you are interested in volunteering 1 or 2 weeks to help teach these modules, or have any appropriate equipment, books, or teaching material, please contact me on This email address is being protected from spambots. I look forward to hearing from you.
