Joe Reeve, Data Plastics Chairman said "Since the development of our Class 7, Cleanroom facility, around 8 years ago, we have seen an increase in production and product range year on year so that now this sector represents over 30% of our current business ? we now manufacture millions of medical components for over 10 companies in the UK and the rest of the world".

Because of the growth in the one-time-use medical components, Data Plastics has seen a significant rise in the range of products; the most prevalent item is a cleanliness testing kit, but Data Plastics also mould components used on breathing apparatus, measuring devices, dose control devices, containers, medical devices used internally and many other similar items.

Owing to the success of the existing Class 7 cleanroom facility, Data Plastics is looking to extend this facility in the near future. This new area will also be certified to BS EN ISO 13485-2003 for medical device manufacturing and medical assembly.
