Williams Medical Supplies completed Electrical Safety Testing on the majority of medical equipment at Derriford hospital.   All testing was completed in accordance with IEC-60601.

Three Technicians from Williams Medical Supplies' Test & Calibration team spent six weeks at the hospital completing scheduled Electrical Safety Tests.  They used their own equipment (Rigel 288's) recording Derriford's unique asset identification and equipment serial numbers.  The Technicians also applied labels in accordance with the MEMS department procedures.

Mike Webber, Head of Clinical Technology said The process was simple. The Technicians brought their own test equipment and worked throughout the hospital without any disruption.  On completion all the results were provided electronically which could then be imported into our hospital asset management system.   I would have no hesitation recommending this service to anyone else

The Technicians worked throughout the hospital, in Wards, Theatres and Equipment Libraries, working around busy schedules to minimise interruptions.  Detailed electronic test results were provided in a database format to the MEMS department on completion.
