Medical device manufacturer, Mindray, has officially launched its new A3 anaesthesia system in Europe at the Association of Anaesthetists Annual Congress in Harrogate, 25th – 27th September.

The latest addition to the Mindray A Series family combines advanced technology and adaptable design in a compact footprint, empowering anaesthesia teams to deliver optimal care across diverse clinical scenarios.

Advanced technology for robust safety

As anaesthesia applications evolve beyond traditional operating rooms, the A3 anaesthesia system rises to meet the challenge. It comes with advanced anaesthesia management tools to improve safety, including:

  • digital flowmeter
  • plug and play CO2 and Anaesthesia Gas modules
  • versatile ventilation modes
  • High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) delivered via integrated or standalone systems

Superior adaptability for various clinical settings

The flexible configuration options of the Mindray A3 anaesthesia system allow anaesthetists to save space without compromising on safety or performance. The A3 comes in four configurations:

  • pendant
  • compact
  • wall-mount
  • standard

As anaesthesia use is diversifying, the A3 has customisable gas supply options, including:

  • Driven gas auto-switch - if the primary gas supply fails
  • Built-in turbine module* - for when high-pressure gas supply is not available.
  • Internal air supply module - backup air for fresh gas to ensure safe ventilation if high-pressure air supply fails.

Comprehensive connectivity and data management

Communication failures occur in approximately 30% of procedural communications in the OR.[1] To help clinical teams improve the quality and reliability of patient data, the A3 anaesthesia system provides comprehensive connectivity and data management features:

  • See real-time patient status in each operating room.
  • Overview of anaesthesia machine distribution and utilisation.
  • Summary of anaesthesia machine self-test results.
