We would like to sincerely thank all those who came together to make the EBME Expo 2021 our best event yet!

It’s been a challenging 16 months for everyone – the delegates working on the front line, the exhibitors endeavouring to deliver the support and equipment necessary, and also for us and our suppliers persevering to make this event happen.

ebme expo 2021Together, we managed to overcome all the difficulties, and were rewarded with a very memorable event – the first of its kind in the UK to take place since the original Covid-19 lockdown.  The excitement and joy at being able to come together with colleagues, friends and business contacts was uplifting for everyone, and in addition to the excellent formal feedback we have received, we were also touched that many of you thanked us in person for enabling this reunion of so many people in our sector. It couldn’t have happened without the flexibility, understanding and co-operation of all those involved, and it reminds us all of the value and importance of raising the profile of the healthcare technology community, and sharing our knowledge. All of our speakers presentation slides may be downloaded here and the transcriptions of their presentations are currently being made available here.

We are already planning and looking forward to our next event, taking place on the 28th & 29th June 2022, which we are excited to announce will be at a new venue!  We have selected the Coventry Building Society Arena (Formerly the Ricoh Arena), as the new home of the EBME Expo.  This larger venue has been chosen to keep up with demand from both exhibitors and delegates, and so that we can expand to host a second conference focusing on ‘The Operating Theatre’.  Operating theatre staff are the largest group of medical equipment users in hospitals, and this is why we believe they will complement our current audience.

Dr. John Sandham will continue to be the Chairperson in the ‘EBME conference hall’, and we are delighted to welcome Rob Brothwood, Senior Operating Department Practitioner at the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospital, as the Chairman for the additional ‘Operating Theatre conference hall’.

The EBME Expo is an independent educational event bringing together healthcare professionals who are responsible for the management of medical equipment. These healthcare professionals are involved in areas such as procurement, maintenance, user training, and managing inventories.  I am sure you will join us in welcoming the Specialist EBME Technicians, Operating Department Practitioners (ODP’s), Theatre & Recovery Nurses, Anaesthetists, Surgeons, etc. that we will be opening our doors to, many of whom will be colleagues you will already know.

Thanks to the sponsorship of our 90+ exhibitors, this independent exhibition and the educational workshops in the break out areas are offered free of charge to all visitors.

Many of you will qualify as a ‘conference delegate’ which means you can enjoy these additional benefits free of charge:

Additional conference delegate* benefits include:
